Churchyard conservation areas

I hope this is the first of a series of updates on the flora of the churchyard.

The most obvious plants at present were no doubt planted at some time - Snowdrops and Aconites are already in flower.

There are lots of Alexanders evident. The Romans introduced them as a sort of 'parsley' - don't try them without blanching, very bitter.

This Daisy was the only wild flower in bloom today.

This looks like Stinking Iris (Iris foetidissima) to me.
