Highway Community Rangers w/c 28th May

27/4/2012

Following a scheduled inspection of the highway, the Highway Community Rangers are due to visit Langham during the week commencing  28 May 2012

They will be carrying out the maintenance works identified by the Highway Inspector and we would welcome any additional tasks which you feel need attention while they are in the area.  Click the hyperlink above to see what the rangers do.

Any additional requests can be sent to Dave Curtis or the clerk, Kevin Webb.

The road in front of 6 Holt Rd. is frequently in use as a parking space/layby /pull in for holiday traffic or as a passing space. The surface is down to flints at its edge.
Who is responsible for this?

Not sure Gill so I've asked our Clerk to get the Rangers to check it. They'll soon tell us if it isn't Highways.

Hi Gill,

We have had this reply from Highways.

"Thanks for getting in touch. The defect described below sounds as if it could benefit from some form of carriageway patching. Our Rangers are not set up for this, however I will take a look and program the required repair. If this is suitable Ranger work I will add the request to the list for next week, but patching is likely to take around 4 weeks."

So progress is being made.
