The draft minutes of the Langham PC meeting for November are now on the Parish Council page.
The closure of Field Dalling Road will start next Monday, 11th September. Initially this will run from Hollow Lane to the crossroads by the church. The official diversion route will be along Hollow Lane so there will be an increase in the traffic here
After about 2-3 weeks the road works will be extended to the south of the Hollow Lane junction and the whole of the Field Dalling Road will be closed. This will mean using Binham Road or Holt Road to get out of the village and the end of the diversion along Hollow Lane
During the work on Holt Road through traffic will be diverted along Blakeney Road / Wiveton Road / North Street.
The period 16/10/17 to 27/10/17 (and possibly additional weeks) will see the greatest disruption as all 4 of the routes meeting at the crossroads by the church will be closed. Diversions will be marked but will be lengthy.
We have had to re-arrange the May Parish Council meeting to Tuesday May 30th in the Church. Sorry for any inconvenience.
The Parish Council are looking to remove the Leylandi from the playing fields. One way to reduce costs would be to sell the wood to village residents. This notice is to see how much interest there would be. Contact details below.
Dear Langham Property Owner,
You will recall I last wrote to you on 3rd July regarding the sale and opening of The Langham Hotel.
I am now very pleased to announce that Avada exchanged Contracts this week with a company called The Bijou Collection. The Bijou Collection is a family business run by Sam Cutmore-Scott (other directors include his parents Mark and Jo).
The Bijou Collection is a high-end hospitality and leisure group operating in the UK and France. The Langham will be their sixth establishment since 1997 and will no doubt benefit from almost 20 years accumulated experience in the Food, Beverage, Hospitality and Service industries. It will reflect the confluence of all Bijou's activities and experience over the years and as well as offering ‘traditional' hotel, restaurant, bar and spa facilities, it will further benefit the local community through health and happiness classes and retreats including Yoga, Pilates and general Fitness and by making itself available for elegant weddings, corporate functions and other celebrations.
You can read more about the Bijou group at thebijoucollection.com but I have had the pleasure of seeing their operation first hand and have absolute confidence in their plans for The Langham.
Although most of their collection in based around the home counties, Mark and Jo originate from Norfolk and are passionate about the North Norfolk Coastal area.
The target date for handover of The Hotel is late December 2016 with a view to commencing trading in early 2017. The new owners will make contact with you shortly to share more of their vision and plans for how they will make The Langham the magnificent destination that we all wish it to be.
In the meantime, I thank you again for your patience and wish you a wonderful summer.

Anyone trying to access the minutes of the March 2016 meeting of Langham PC would have been presented with a list of birds seen in Langham. This has now been corrected. Apologies to anyone who has been inconvenienced by this.
There will be a meeting of Langham Parish Council in the Village Hall at 7pm on Monday 9th November. All welcome.
The minutes of these meetings are now on the website.
