Binham Road letter box

14/8/2012

Several parishioners have voiced concerns that the Binham Road post box is in a dangerous position on a bend.  Cars parked by the box are on the apex of a bend and through traffic finds it difficult to overtake safely.

The photo on the right was not staged but does illustrate the problem.

Bob Brandt wrote to Langham PC and offered to have the box located on his land at the junction of Binham Road and St Marys Lane.

The Parish Council contacted the Post Office and Robert Steward, Collection Planning Manager,  visited the site on 9th August.  The proposed new site looks to be acceptable so Mr Steward has started the process for moving the box.

We can expect the box to be moved in September/October.
